Not all white-label partners are equal, and a bad fit costs you client trust, not just money. Here’s the actual checklist to run through before you sign anything.
1. Do they sign an NDA before discussing your clients?
If they’re hesitant or want to “see how it goes” first, that’s your answer.
2. Is pricing genuinely transparent?
You should be able to see exact tiers and what’s included before you ever get on a call. Vague “contact us for pricing” is a red flag, not a sales strategy.
3. What’s the actual communication process?
Named point of contact, defined response times, proactive status updates — not just “we’ll get back to you.”
4. Can they show real turnaround times?
Ask for specifics: how long does a standard site actually take, start to finish? Vague answers here usually mean inconsistent delivery.
5. Do they build on the platforms your clients actually need?
WordPress, Shopify, custom builds — a partner that only does one thing well will eventually cost you a client whose project doesn’t fit their specialty.
